Tom has over 30 years of real estate experience including the design, construction, and oversight of over 11,000 residential units and over 300,000sf of commercial in mixed-use development deals in 11 states valuing over $2 billion in total assets to date. Tom utilizes this experience to proactively provide solutions from initial pro-forma thru construction and operations managing the process in a linear methodology. By applying this philosophy, sound decisions are made from project inception thereby allowing the design team to accurately build the construction set on solid decisions. This minimizes the potential for miscoordination thereby increasing accuracy of the set. This in turn allows for tight and accurate pricing from the GC and subs which minimizes change orders and schedule impacts during construction. This process therefore provides the developer with a project that comes in on time and on budget and provides a win/win situation for the entire team.

Early in his career, Tom was in a builder capacity completing luxury homes, mixed-use, and commercial projects in California. During that time, Tom was awarded the most complicated and intricate projects (special projects division) due to his ability to formulate and execute action plans in the most complicated environments. There he honed his skills in risk management, litigation defense, accessibility and building envelope expertise, design team and consultant management, construction oversight and owner’s representation.

In 2007, Tom continued his career as an Owner’s Representative with a national multi-family developer. During that time, Tom successfully completed over $200 million of mixed-use developments consisting of over 600 residential units and 37,000sf of retail.
