Tom Marseille, PE, MSME, Hon AIA, LEED BD+C, is Managing Director for WSP Seattle and Sustainability Leader for the WSP Buildings group in the U.S. Mr. Marseille strives to deliver creative high performance building solutions that are resilient and resource-responsible. An author of numerous published papers and frequent speaker, he is
proud to lead a team that boasts regional and national awards for technical excellence.

Tom focuses his practice on integrated building systems design, best-in-class building performance outcomes, total cost of ownership analyses, Facility assessment and masterplanning, “district” level energy and water resource opportunities, and renewable energy applications.

In addition to his career as a consultant, he formerly was a Senior Building Research Scientist for Pacific Northwest National Laboratories and Director of Technology and Analytic Services for Honeywell’s Building Information Services business. Tom served on the technical committee responsible for development of the first ANSI accredited Green Building standard. He currently sits on the Cascadia Green Building Council Board of Directors and the Seattle Living Building and Deep Green Pilot Program Technical Advisory Group, and was a past board member for the ILFI.

Tom has enjoyed serving as a juror for multiple sustainable design competitions. His passion for teaching includes serving as guest lecturer for the Sustainable Building Advisor Program and as moderator and frequent speaker AIA+2030 Professional Series in Seattle, for which he also contributed to development of content for the program, which is now rolling out nationally.
