LEED BD+C: Core and Shell v3 - LEED 2009

Arboleda Club House

Avenida Roble #660
San Pedro Garza Garcia, 66279

LEED Platinum 2017

Club House is situated within the multi-use complex called Arboleda. The master site was designed by renowned architect Cesar Pelli. This development will boast a wide variety of buildings such as residential towers, villas, commercial office spaces, hotels, retail areas, restaurants, parks and a wellness center. The main vision of Arboleda, which literally translates to “Grove”, is to create comfortable and healthy spaces that coexist freely and gracefully with its surrounding nature.

The Arboleda Casa Club is an unbeatable testament to this vision. It was designed taking care of every detail so as to satisfy the different needs and recreational interests of its occupants, while constructing a high-performing efficient building. The numerous amenities within the building include a Movie Theater, Bowling Lane, a Pool Room and a Virtual Golf Simulator.

The overall concept of Arboleda goes hand-in-hand with sustainability and the preservation of our environment. That is why the group of investors, SILICA DESARROLLOS, decided early in the process that Club House was pursuing Platinum certification under the LEED for Core & Shell rating system. The owner, design team and sustainability consultant SINERGI Integrated Building Sciences, worked together since the inception of these goals to initiate, analyze and validate the strategies that would meet the owner's requirements.

One of the key sustainable attributes for the project is the landscaping, in which the owner has a vested interest. The main goal was to rehabilitate and strengthen the existing site ecosystem through plant selection and reforestation, using only native species. The relocation of existing trees, the use of adaptive drought-tolerant plants and the implementation of an organic landscaping management program ensured a maintainable and ecological green area.

Another remarkable component to this building is the green roof. A haven where nature and modern architecture meet, this roof serves not only as a great contributor in reducing the surrounding heat island effect or as a platform featuring on site renewable energy with a roof mounted solar array, it’s also a beautiful gathering area where residents can enjoy a stunning view of Arboleda.

Arboleda Club House is the first LEED Platinum for Core & Shell v2009 in the state of Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
