College Park City Hall

The new College Park City Hall, located in downtown College Park, Maryland, is a jointly owned project between the City of College Park and the University of Maryland.  The building includes spaces for the city, the university, and the community. The City of College Park occupies the first and second floor, the University of Maryland occupies the third and fourth floor, and dedicated retail space on the plaza at the ground floor.  

The unique partnership between City and University created a physical and metaphorical center for all citizens promoting inclusivity and celebrating sustainability. The Iconic building includes a new city council chamber, public meeting space, and a central lobby connecting the neighborhood to the East and a public plaza on the West side. The new civic plaza provides habitat for the local ecosystem treating rainwater on site and creating an accessible gathering place for all.
