Project info

Size33,178 sq m

Robinsons Land Corporation’s (RLC) Cybergate Iloilo Towers 1 and 2 in Pavia, Iloilo, are 7- and 10-storey office buildings, respectively, with more than 33,000 square meters of gross floor area (GFA). RLC shares the distinction with Western Visayas as the inaugural LEED Certified project in the region. It achieved 44 points and received certification on February 8, 2024, under the LEED v4 Core and Shell rating system. To achieve this green building certification, the Towers integrated various sustainability features which include diversion of construction waste, water efficiency, and energy efficiency.

Considering its impact to the environment during construction, the towers were responsibly constructed, incorporating plans for erosion and sedimentation control, managing construction waste, and ensuring indoor air quality. Recycled materials were utilized, and all construction waste was diverted from landfills through donation and recycling efforts. The project's design achieves a 57% reduction in water usage by employing low-flush and low-flow sanitary fixtures, along with a rainwater tank. These measures significantly decrease indoor potable water consumption and help conserve valuable no and low-cost potable water resources. To minimize the built assets' carbon emissions, the towers were designed for the reduction of energy consumption by 8% through low wattage lighting fixtures, daylight sensors, minimum HVAC efficiencies, sufficient mechanical ventilation capacity, lighting control, fan control, and building envelope considerations. A Building Management System (BMS) is also incorporated and used to identify opportunities for additional energy savings.

RLC’s Cybergate Iloilo Towers 1 and 2 serve as a testament to sustainable building practices, setting a benchmark for future developments in the region and beyond.
