 Equifax Torre Universal is an expansion of the company’s Global Business Services (GBS) Center footprint in this second facility at Torre Universal, San Jose, Costa Rica. The GBS is the corporation's second largest site globally. The center supports all business units and centers of excellence, in all 25 geographies where Equifax operates. From it, Equifax drives ongoing innovation in technology, RPA/AI, the Equifax Cloud™, cybersecurity and operational excellence.

 This 52,800sqft (5080m2) space spreading across floors 22, 23 and 24, embodies a collaborative work environment with beehive-type workstations that facilitate interaction amongst tech teams. It offers interactive screens for design thinking, a playroom, relaxation room, maternity rooms and a medical center for employees’ wellness. An open view cafeteria allows people to enjoy the surrounding mountain ranges and volcanoes that the country offers.

 The USGBC awarded LEED Gold (ID+Cv4) certification of this facility with 70 performance points and gave full marks for its integrative process, water efficiency and innovation design. This further consolidates Equifax commitment to ESGs. Remodeling of floor 22 was also recertified with the same standard.

 This facility has also attained LEED Platinum (O+Mv4.1) with 82 points, a coveted recognition considering only 11% of issued certifications by the USGBC get platinum level as per public data. The process entails a rigorous assessment under a 12-month timeframe considering aspects such as decarbonization (energy efficiency), health & wellbeing of the people, water usage.
