Grady Middle School Addition

This project is approximately a 56,000 square feet addition of learning centers, science classrooms, learning commons, educational courtyard and other amenities. Natural daylight floods the building interiors and classrooms through the use of skylights and glazing in hallways. Visibility from the new counselor offices into the main hallways was a key aspect of the design. Grady had just become an IB school when NATEX started the design and therefore we integrated the concepts of this “world” school into graphics and in the flexible teaching spaces that allow for interdisciplinary collaboration. The design of the addition nicely compliments the newly completed structure.
