Herbatint by Antica Erboristeria Spa is involved in a path of sustainable innovation that has achieved significant improvements in company processes and the well-being of employees, also enhancing the relationship with local communities. Obtaining the LEED Certification for the new company headquarters in Passo Corese, in the north of Rome, was an opportunity to reach a pivotal goal: the improvement of all the work spaces and the reduction of the impact on the environment during the phases of construction and future management. The result could only be achieved through a certification that rewarded the entire settlement (offices, production, storage, parking lots and green spaces) and that involved, from the very beginning, the professionals, the owner and the company in charge of the project. Through an integrated design, architectural and plant engineering solutions have been adopted with the aim of optimizing the usage of electric and water energy and therefore of the management processes. This accomplishment will be achieved by preferring alternative energy sources and attentively monitoring the consumption of energy on the basis of detailed data. A particular attention has been paid to the external green areas, in respect of the agricultural vocation of the region where the site is located. Herbatint by Antica Erboristeria Spa ha avviato da alcuni anni un percorso di innovazione sostenibile che ha visto migliorare i processi aziendali e il benessere dei dipendenti, valorizzando anche il rapporto con le comunità locali. Certificare LEED la nuova sede aziendale di Passo Corese, a Nord di Roma, è stata l’occasione per raggiungere un primo traguardo: rendere migliori tutti gli spazi di lavoro e contenere gli impatti sull’ambiente durante le fasi di costruzione e di futura gestione. Il risultato poteva essere raggiunto solo attraverso una certificazione che premiasse l’intero insediamento (uffici, produzione, deposito, parcheggi e spazi verdi) e coinvolgesse, fin dalle fasi iniziali, i professionisti, la proprietà e l’impresa incaricata del progetto. Attraverso una progettazione integrata, sono state adottate soluzioni architettoniche e impiantistiche rivolte al contenimento delle fonti energetiche ed idriche, all’approvvigionamento da fonti alternative e a un capillare monitoraggio dei consumi, con l’obiettivo di ottimizzare progressivamente i processi di gestione, basandosi su dati dettagliati. Particolare attenzione è stata rivolta anche alle aree verdi esterne nel rispetto della vocazione agricola della zona in cui insiste il sito.
