Hoefer Welker HQ

In an effort to walk the talk of their sustainability initiative, Hoefer Welker endeavored to certify their headquarters. The multispecialty design firm saw this as a great opportunity to showcase the value of sustainable design to prospective clients from an employee health, performance, and environmental stewardship capacity. 49.5% of all materials were sourced responsibly, 43.5 products had EPDs, carbon positive carpeting was used, and the project scored full points on low emitting materials. Additionally, the project has daylighting sensors, occupancy sensors, and efficient lighting/plumbing fixtures to reduce energy and water use. By doing pragmatic, integrated design, the project was able to create a beautiful space that was still able to obtain LEED certification on budget and on time!
