The “Institución Educativa Gabriel Garcia Marquez” project encompass the construction of a 18,808 square feet school building made of two floor levels and a basement, located in Yumbo, Colombia. The project pursues to improve the quality of life of students and inhabitants of the city of Yumbo. It is important to mention that the “I.E. Gabriel Garcia Marquez” school is the only public school in the area, that will offer primary education for the children of Yumbo. The building areas are distributed as follow: kindergarten, preschool, dining, kitchen, library and other rooms are located on the first floor; Additional classrooms for primary grades, teachers’ lounge, and the bathrooms are located on the second floor; finally, water tanks (Rainwater, Potable, and fire tanks) are located on the basement.
