The project is a new transit center for Broward County Transportation that includes Broward County Transit services, a security office, and public restrooms.
The Broward County Transit services offer two platform areas both of which are covered with a flat roof providing cover from the elements. The canopy along State Road 7 (US 441) is an entrance feature providing a gathering space for those waiting to purchase bus passes. A separate drop off area with cover is provided at the west end of the parcel opposite the mall entrance. The project also includes modifications to the center median on State Road 7 for north bound buses to turn left into the site and to turn left out of the site from a separate driveway.
There is a solar collector array on two canopies providing power for the transit center. As the County's first NET-POSITIVE building, the project is the first LEED v4 Transit Station Gold certified project in the United States.
