Laurelton Diamonds Cambodia Plant is a showcase of the Company’s strong commitment towards sustainability. Some highlighted green features that have been put in place is as follows:
- Rain garden landscaping to manage storm water
- 100% reduction in irrigation
- recycling waste water to reduce up to 50% domestic water consumption
- double-glazing low-e windows
- insulated roof with SRI (Solar Reflectance Index) of 84 to reduce heat island effects
- energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures with lighting control
- energy-efficient manufacturing equipment (laser technology cutting machines and innovative motors) to reduce the industrial process energy consumption up to 21%.
- renewable electricity from 1.1Mwp and 0.5Mwp photovoltaic systems to offset equivalent to 47.6% energy consumption cost
- low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound)-compliant interior finishing materials
- good management of air pollution
- erosion prevention
- waste reduction during the construction phase.
