The South Airport Automated People Mover Complex and Intermodal Terminal Facility represent the new Transportation Hub for the Orlando International Airport. Supporting the airport’s existing North Terminal with seamless multi-modal connectivity, the project is comprised of the following facilities:
South Airport Automated People Mover (APM) Station
Intermodal Transportation Facility (ITF) or Rail Station
Passenger Drop-Off Lobby (PDL)
Support Facilities including Structured Parking, Central Energy Plant and Amenities
This complex allows the Orlando International Airport (OIA) to serve as a central hub for integrated air, ground and rail transportation connecting the Central Florida community on a local, state and global level.
This is the first building to be Certified on the South Airport LEEDv4 Campus. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority is an early adopter of LEEDv4 which is the main reason a project of this size is the first LEEDv4 New Construction in the State of Florida.
