Nutrabolt Corporate Headquarters stands as a shining example of how thoughtful design practices can positively impact environmental and human health. This LEED Gold certified project serves as the headquarters for Nutrabolt, a company deeply rooted in health and wellness. The project reflects these values in every aspect of its design.
The campus spans over eight acres within Texas Hill Country, providing employees with direct access to nature and biodiversity. This connection to the outdoors is further enhanced by extensive landscaped open spaces, walking trails, and athletic fields, encouraging physical activity and relaxation in a smoke-free environment.
Nutrabolt’s commitment to health and wellbeing is bolstered by active design elements, including a central staircase that encourages regular physical activity, a state-of-the-art fitness facility, showers and locker rooms, a spa with massage rooms, a sauna, cryotherapy treatment areas, a juice bar, and an on-site staff nurse.
The project’s approach to environmental stewardship is multifaceted. Nutrabolt is committed to ecosystem conservation, which is evident through the preservation of nearly 170,000 square feet of greenfield and the restoration of over 50,000 square feet of previously developed site area. Native and adaptive plant species were intentionally specified to support the downstream natural hydrology buffer, which improves the quality of stormwater run-off. The use of potable water was drastically reduced through the implementation of low-flow and low-flush plumbing fixtures and the connection to a purple pipe greywater system for irrigation purposes. Additionally, energy efficiency is achieved through an all electric building design, improved envelope, and optimized mechanical systems, resulting in a 29.4% energy cost savings over the LEED baseline.
Nutrabolt Corporate Headquarters simultaneously addresses environmental impact and occupant well-being through a fully integrated design process. This results in a workplace that is environmentally friendly and fosters innovation, health, and productivity.
