At Espacio Serrano 45, ABANCA is evolving the concept of the bank branch, its commercial model, and how it relates to customers to offer them a differential experience and comfort with the minimum environmental impact. It is about an innovative center, equipped with the most advanced technology and built according to the most demanding sustainability criteria, align with the bank's commitment to the environment.
The new space of 630 square meters, located in one of the most unique and economically vibrant districts of Madrid, is characterized by sustainable design and construction and open interior architecture with different natural elements that adapt to the client and connect them with nature. The customer service areas are distributed around a wide open and multipurpose central space called "Espacio Raíces'' conceived as a meeting point for customers and non-customers. In addition to the commercial activity, it hosts talks, events, and presentations.
The facilities have been transformed by applying different sustainability criteria in their construction and equipment to generate a positive impact on the environment. The utmost care has been given to aspects such as energy efficiency, consumption control in air conditioning, lighting, ventilation, and energy installations by the use of sunlight, water saving, and the improvement of indoor environmental quality, among others.
Natural lighting through large the windows and the use of raw materials in the furniture are complemented, following a biophilic design, with a prominent role of vegetation throughout the space that absorbs pollutants.
