The hotel is located in Fiumicino (35 km far from Rome) and since July 2019, is certified with the LEED® v4 Certified level.
The area is 4.200 m2 and is in a very developed area, rich in shops, services and very close to the direct railway Rome- Fiumicino, with a unique connection with the city of Rome and the International airport Leonardo da Vinci.
Below, some of the sustainable strategies that allowed the project to achieve LEED® v4 certified level:
• 54,9% percent less water consumption than average, thanks to the use of low-flow faucets and low flush toilets;
• Highly efficient HVAC systems that contribute to the total energy cost saving of the 22.6% in comparison with a baseline modelled according to Ashrae 90.1:2010 standard.
• LED luminaires
• Use of renewable energy;
• The hotel opted for purchasing green energy
• More than 75% of the waste generated was recycled during the construction phase;
• increased outdoor air flow more than 30% above the minimum rates in occupied spaces;
• Use of low emitting materials for products which belong to 2 categories;
• Development and implementation of an Indoor Air Quality Management Plan and Erosion and Sedimentation plan during the construction phase;
• Involvement of hotel occupants in the filling in of a comfort survey
