Park Axis Kita Senzoku MOCXION is a four-story wooden rental condominium developed by Mitsui Fudosan Residential that received LEED BD+C Gold certification in April 2024 and is considered a key achievement in the Mitsui Fudosan Group's action plan to realize a decarbonized society.
The project features a wooden structure, and by maximizing the use of "wood" in the structural components of all floors, CO2 emissions during manufacturing and processing were reduced by approximately 50% compared to concrete construction. Solar panels are installed on the rooftop and can produce energy on-site, generating approximately 29,566 kwh of electricity annually. In addition, the building's CO2 emissions during occupancy will be virtually zero, thanks to the collective use of renewable energy and all-electric power generation.
While minimizing the building's own impact on the environment, we are also taking steps to take the occupants into consideration. The roof is made of double-shielded panels with high thermal insulation performance, which improves the thermal insulation of the entire building and also ensures comfortable living in the loft space, which is greatly affected by temperature changes in the roof. In addition to the wooden features, the building also incorporates a design that makes you feel close to "wood": a wood-grain design is placed from the entrance on the first floor to the interior of the building, and trees are planted on the approach with foliage colors that change with the seasons.
