LEED Gold 2014

This bottling plant is a new facility that will expand the sales capacity of the company. This is a 955,952 sf (gross area), two-story industrial new construction located in Trujillo, Perú.

During schematic design, the project team consisting of the owner, an architect, a green building consultant, a mechanical engineer and an electric engineer, set out with three key concepts of sustainability that were incorporated early in the design of the project: location, water efficiency, and energy.

The project location was selected to improve accessibility by public transport. The wastewater treatment plant treats 100% the waste water generated in the bottling plant and the offices. The water saving fixtures selected for this project will provide considerable global water savings. The project is implementing the latest technologies for reducing the process energy utilized in the whole facility.

Important to the well-being and health of the workers and customers, the building was designed with large glazing areas and skylights to bring in as much natural daylight and reduction in energy use as possible.

Through integrating programmatic elements with environmental design best practices, Lindley has accomplished the company’s vision to provide an inspiring, healthy and beautiful community benefit to the workers and customers, while addressing the company’s safety challenges, serving as a global model for sustainable design and construction practices through its LEED commitment.
