Supermaxi Alban Borja obtained the LEED SILVER certification for Commercial Interiors by renovating an existing space, incorporating strategies for relationship with the environment, design and efficient systems that allowed achieving the greatest energy efficiency, lower water consumption, less impact on the environment and better comfort conditions for its users.
Supermaxi Alban Borja is a comprehensive renovation project where lower emission materials and efficient sanitary pieces were installed that reduce the use of drinking water by 40%, reducing the impact on the environment and municipal systems.
Supermaxi Alban Borja achieved a 20% reduction in energy consumption, through the use of thermally insulated Kalwall diffusing skylights, and through the use of solar reflectance tubes, Solatube, by making maximum use of natural lighting.
Supermaxi Alban Borja was designed to achieve the best thermal comfort conditions with the most efficient air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems available and with refrigerant use control, guaranteeing comfortable temperatures with lower energy consumption and lower emissions, keeping the building and its occupants healthy.
