LEED Gold 2013

The main goal of the project was to create a new collaborative work environment with flexibility for the university's 11 administrative departments.

The University of Maryland University College’s renovation and transformation of the existing Administration Building is an excellent example of the use of sustainable engineering practices to develop a greener, healthier, and collaborative working environment for its employees. The building is located in Adelphi, Maryland in close proximity to the University of Maryland, College Park campus.
The location of this building provides great access for students to learn about sustainable engineering practices in action. This building obtained its LEED Gold certification in July 2013. The overall area of renovation is 136,165 square feet. The UMUC offers numerous undergraduate and graduate curriculum in many fields and the University is known for the tight-knit community, energetic staff, and working professionals seeking to advance their careers though higher education.
