As a first step towards transforming building practices; a study has been conducted to identify, characterize and rank marketing barriers for mainstreaming green buildings and increase the green share of construction activity in the India context. The approach, survey results and key takeaways of India's green building market transformation study have been discussed in this paper. It also details the challenges faced by project stakeholders and the potential high-level actionable items that could be instituted at regional and national levels to address specific issues.
