USGBC Florida embraces sustainable design, construction and operations in our buildings. We work toward market transformation by hosting educational programs/events and organizing community initiatives and advocacy outreach.

About our membership

The diverse USGBC Florida membership and Market Leadership Advisory Board are a dedicated community of professionals, advocates and industries. We play a leading role in creating jobs, improving education and workforce development; in advancing private- and public-sector initiatives that champion efficiency in energy, water and beyond; and in catalyzing market forces for better building practices.

Regions and branches

USGBC Florida features seven major regions — Central Florida, Florida Capital, Florida Gulf Coast, Heart of Florida, Northeast Florida, Northern Gulf Coast, and South Florida.

The community also has eight branches: Brevard, Broward, Ft. Myers, Keys, Miami, Myakka River/Sarasota, Palm Beach and Treasure Coast, and Tampa Bay.

In addition to our volunteers’ leadership for tours, master classes, presentations, socials, LEED exam prep, etc., they also facilitate:

  • Signature events, such as GalaVerde, Green Mile, LEEDership Awards.
  • Education and advocacy initiatives, such as Battle of the Buildings and LiveSMART
  • Statewide committees, such as Green Schools Committee, Policy and Advocacy Committee, Residential Committee, Programs Committee, and Membership Committee.
