USGBC Tennessee
USGBC Tennessee transforms buildings and places to create healthy, prosperous, and sustainable communities through Education, Advocacy, and Action.
Our vision is that buildings and communities in Tennessee will regenerate and sustain the health and vitality of all life. It is through the work of our members and dedicated volunteers, and in conjunction with the financial support of our partners that we are able to promote sustainability in the residential and commercial markets for new and existing buildings and places.
USGBC Tennessee improves wellness through sustainability. With over 625 LEED certified projects, we are reducing energy consumption, water usage, and promoting environmental air quality.
- Through our statewide Green Apple Day of Service programs, we focus on schools and the environments where our children spend their formative years.
- Through our local and regional advocacy efforts, we monitor bills and that would affect green building, and provide a voice for the built environment and green solutions.
- Through Weatherization Days, we provide outreach to home owners about energy efficiency strategies, and works to show them the beautiful and functionality of green homes.
USGBC Tennessee also provides education, tours, and networking opportunities for our sustainability and design communities, emerging professionals, and students.
As a nonprofit organization, USGBC Tennessee relies on donations and sponsorships to carry out our mission of advocating and educating for sustainable buildings and communities.
